The Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) held its first Australian event!
Recently, Taiwan’s Representative Office in Australia, the U.S. EmbassyinAustralia, and the Asia Center at Griffith University collaborated to host the first Brisbane, Australia #GCTF overseas workshop. This focused on “Communication in Times of Crisis: Sharing Practical Methods and Experiences in the Pacific Region. The conference invited 15 countries from the Indo-Pacific region, including Taiwan, Canada, Japan, Fiji, Sri Lanka, and the United States, to attend. They exchanged views on how Pacific island nations are strengthening #mediaresilience to respond to natural disasters and public health crises, demonstrating their commitment to free and open media in the Indo-Pacific region.
Taiwan’s representative to Australia, Douglas Hsu, noted that transparent and timely communication is crucial during times of crisis. Taiwan will continue to cooperate with like-minded countries to promote regional development, security, and stability. Taiwan FactCheck Center
