Somali FM Joins Urgent Arab Meeting on Iran-Israel Tensions

Istanbul, June 20, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, took part in an emergency meeting of Arab League foreign ministers held Friday in Istanbul, Turkey. The session was convened at the request of the Republic of Iraq to address the recent Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran and their wider implications for regional security.

The meeting took place during a period of heightened regional sensitivity and focused on reinforcing Arab unity and developing a coordinated stance to contain further escalation and preserve regional security and stability.
