Starting in 2026, Saudi Arabia will begin allowing the sale of low-alcohol drinks like wine, beer, and cider at about 600 approved places, such as luxury hotels, resorts, and tourist areas like Neom and the Red Sea Project.
This move is part of the countryโs Vision 2030 plan to attract more visitors while keeping strong religious and cultural values.
Stronger drinks and alcohol sales in regular stores will still be banned, and alcohol will not be allowed during the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
