Reform isn’t limited to rewriting the Constitution; it is already evident through the leadership, policies, laws, and institutional changes currently underway in Ethiopia.The Prime Minister stressed that constitutional reform must be inclusive—not unilateral—and that’s why, unlike previous governments he supports National Dialogue as the right platform.

📌 𝟮. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 & 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Inclusive dialogue matters. Feel unheard? Join the table. Strong opinions should be shared—not silenced. Boycotts weaken democracy; participation empowers it. Everyone’s invited—your voice will be heard and recorded, even if every proposal isn’t adopted.

📌 𝟯. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀
Significant political change is underway: Somali and Afar regions are now partnering at the federal level, and the National Election Board and Human Rights Commission are 100% independent—recent appointments were led by civic leaders with no government interference. We’re not dismantling institutions; we’re rebuilding and modernizing them while preserving national treasures like Lalibela and Axum.

📌 𝟰. 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
Peace is essential, and those genuinely seeking it are admired. But Ethiopia’s peace has been disrupted by those who use violence to impose political or economic will. This recurring historical pattern—believing force is the only path—must end. We must reject the “no compromise” mindset, and political opportunism cloaked as rights activism, and choose peaceful engagement.

📌 𝟱. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀
We remain fully dedicated to facilitating the safe and voluntary return of displaced citizens—including those from Raya, where many have already returned, and Wolkait. It is imperative that this process remains free from political manipulation. While we are aware of attempts at political interference, and possess advanced technical and law enforcement capabilities, our priority is to prevent unnecessary conflict and ensure that the tragic suffering experienced in Tigray is never repeated.

📌 𝟲. 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
We are undergoing a fundamental economic transformation. The economy has expanded beyond agriculture to include mining, ICT, tourism, and manufacturing—marking a major structural and policy shift.

The macroeconomic reforms are delivering measurable results:

✅ 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗱
✅ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝟴 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 (up from $4 billion)
✅ 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟯 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 and continues to fall
✅ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴

For the first time, industrial parks are owned and operated by the private sector, creating jobs and attracting new investment.

The government has also:

Created 4.5 million domestic jobs
Enabled 500,000 Ethiopians to work legally overseas
Supported 60,000 citizens working remotely for international companies

We’re addressing inflation through increased local production (e.g., wheat and rice), targeted subsidies, and over 1,400 Sunday markets connecting farmers directly to consumers.

📌 𝟳. 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
We do not tolerate theft. While individuals may falter, we’re tackling systemic corruption through institutional reforms: land registration is now digitized from Addis Ababa to Adama, reducing fraud and increasing transparency. The Constitution prohibits land sales—it can only be leased to attract investment.

📌 𝟴. 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
Under the Office of the First Lady, we’ve built over 30,000 preschool centers, modernized prosthetics production, and launched Africa’s leading blind school in Addis Ababa. Women’s empowerment remains a national priority, and we are supporting women in opposition parties with training and capacity-building.

📌 𝟵. 𝗦𝗲𝗮 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀
Our position on access to the Sea is based on peace and mutual benefit. Ethiopia’s development benefits its neighbour. A stable Ethiopia strengthens regional security. We emphasize the importance of lawful, peaceful solutions—this issue transcends political interests, as it is vital to ensuring access to fuel, fertilizer, and food.
