Minister of State Ambassador Hadera meets the Ambassador of Russia
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hadera Abera, met today with the Ambassador of the federation of Russia to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terkhn.
Ambassador Hadera stressed that Russia is a long-standing partner of Ethiopia and stressed the importance of strengthening historical ties between the two countries, including in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
The State Minister has called on Russian companies to take advantage of the favorable investment climate in Ethiopia and to invest in agro-industry, agriculture, manufacturing and steel.
Ambassador Evgeny, on his part, praised the long-standing ties between Ethiopia and Russia and reaffirmed Russia’s willingness to further strengthen bilateral relations in the economic and social sectors.
The two parties also exchanged views on the holding of regular political consultations and on the intergovernmental commission meeting scheduled for November 2025.
