Pakistan and Somalia are set to formalize a defensive agreement as Somalia intensifies its military capabilities.
This renewed partnership marks a significant shift toward enhanced collaboration in defense and strategic affairs.
Earlier this month, Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, engaged in a phone call with Somalia’s Foreign Minister, Abdisalam Abdi Ali—who at the time served as the Deputy Prime Minister. The discussion centered on deepening multilateral engagement, especially in light of Somalia’s current role as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
Pakistan has previously extended technical support to Somalia’s digital infrastructure, notably in the implementation of a national ID registration system.
🇵🇰A key player in global defense development, Pakistan is known for its advanced weapons technology and growing influence in regional security partnerships.
