The Irish government has confirmed that it is ready to work with cooperation and coordination.
(Addis Ababa, February 18/2017 E. M) Minister of Women and Social Affairs Ergoge Tesfaye (Doctor) has welcomed the newly appointed ambassador of Ireland in Ethiopia Olivia Lesley.
During the discussion, the minister stated that the ministry office is doing different things to benefit women.
Among these, they have explained in detail the efforts being made to empower women economically. ፡፡
The minister Aklew has appreciated the Irish government’s desire to work in cooperation and coordination for the success of the work the office is doing and has acknowledged the work it has done on social protection, women empowerment and other activities.
The minister has asked the Irish government to continue the work it has started in Ethiopia.
Ambassador of Ireland in Ethiopia Olivia Lesley on her part said that her government will strengthen its support to ensure women’s economic benefit and prevent gender based violence.
For this reason, the ambassador confirmed that he is ready to work in cooperation and coordination with the ministry office.
