Morocco 🇲🇦 is reportedly planning a $1.2B project near Tangier to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The complex will include an F1 track, theme park, hotels, and a marina, creating 10,000 jobs. $800M in private funding is secured, pending government approval.
Morocco is among three African countries in talks. If approved, construction could finish in three years.
The North African country aims to end F1’s 32-year absence from Africa, its last race was in 1958.
